    Department: APHIS (Animal Plant Health Inspection Services): APHIS Intranet Hubs
    Contracting under FedScale to provide the USDA with UX strategy, training, and content support for various departments’ Microsoft SharePoint intranet sites such as Hubs, Subsites, Communications Sites, and Teams Sites. Assist and train department employees how to update and migrate content from legacy hierarchical SharePoint sites to new flat structured Hub sites, including design best practices, layout & theme configuration, user permissions, data structuring, etc. Also provide UX guidance and strategies for MS Power Apps development, creating style guide templates and component libraries that are standardized and meet government 508 Accessibility compliance, including WCAG 2.0 best practices.

    Contracting under FedScale to provide the USDA’s AHPIS department with content analysis, cleanup, and migration services to update and move department specific content (web pages, files, user directories, etc.) from legacy IBM WebSphere CMS into a new Drupal 10 CMS environment for various program intranet portals, being consolidated into a new single hub for all departments to leverage and share. Convert IBM user submission webforms into Drupal webforms and write custom form modules to meet PII requirements. Ensure that converted webforms are accessible, functional, and PII compliant, and migrated content is up-to-date, and accessible meeting ADA requirements (WCAG 2.0 compliance), including migrated web pages, copy, images, PDFs and other media types.

    Department: National Agricultural Library: I5K Genomics Workspace
    Contracted under vTech Solutions to provide the National Agricultural Library with custom development to integrate legacy javascript search databases converted into Swagger APIs, to deliver genomic sequencing and DNA data for UI consumption within Drupal 10. Work with API developers to plan and architect API output (JSON) to integrate with custom Drupal module(s) and custom Drupal theming templates (Twig, PHP, HTML5, etc.). Also provide ongoing support and maintenance for the NAL’s genomics search portal running on a Tripal distribution for Drupal 7, while planning and preparing for a complete upgrade to Drupal 10.

    Contracted through Guidehouse to redesign and convert the CDC Laboratory Training e-learning portal from a legacy, non-flexible system, into an open source platform that is customizable and scalable, able to adapt to ongoing and future technical requirements, and a system that can be modified according to learner needs. Architect (plan, design, & implement) custom Drupal content types, Drupal data fields, relational Drupal views (basic & complex), custom module development (OOP), Drupal MYSQL, page & UI  template building and theming (Twig, PHP, HTML5, etc.)  The CDC OneLab REACH training portal is a publicly accessible LMS platform using Drupal 10 and the Opigno LMS distribution, running on Amazon AWS EC2 and RDS servers.

    Project: CDC – DeployCDC Emergency Response: Employee Intranet Portal  
    Short term contract through Guidehouse to convert and migrate the DeployCDC Emergency Response intranet content management system from Microsoft SharePoint to WordPress. A rush project due to urgency of COVID-19 outbreak (plus degraded MS support for legacy version of SharePoint), to migrate hundreds of pages, images, and documents from a legacy version of MS SharePoint to the CDC’s customized WordPress templating system, known within the CDC as “WCMS”. Ensure content and files meet accessibility standards and guidelines for Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 compliance.

    User Interface Designer
    Short-term contract working with UX team to produce interface designs for an enterprise-level, data storage management, and multi-factor security app connection system. Create interactive wire frames and interactive design mockups using Balsamic & Sketch Prototyping, while utilizing Google’s Material UI components to meet technical design specifications required by the development team. Final designs delivered as clickable prototypes for planned end user testing sessions. Data and results from user testing will determine need for additions or revisions to the application and/or design for subsequent design & development phases.

United Nations (UNESCO: Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization.)

    Project: ICT Interactive Education Policy Toolkit
    Contracted through EbizON to provide UNESCO with information design, UX strategy, light project management, functional requirements gathering, sitemaps, wire frames, and UI designs, for an online educational toolkit to be adopted by master educators and educational policy makers worldwide (designed & developed in Drupal 8). Worked closely with the UNESCO team during the discovery phase to fully understand objectives and to help define and refine the requirements for the new LMS from both a functional and a design perspective. Communicated functional requirements and design requirements to the development team by creating comprehensive functional specs documentation on a page-by-page basis for the entire LMS, including definition of user roles and access permissions, content types, site forms and field level definitions, form submission rules, user process flows, etc.

    Provide project sales support for WordPress to Drupal and Drupal to WordPress conversion projects – organize and lead pre-sales discovery calls to determine high level project requirements for project estimation, needed to create project proposals in response to RFPs for acquiring new clients.     Contracted through EbizON to provide the Johns Creek Arts Center with a complete website visual and technical redesign, including competitor analysis, information architecture, sitemaps, wireframes, etc. Revised, simplified, and improved user workflows for membership signups, class purchases and checkout process, including full visual designs for student registration forms, class signups, paid checkouts, notification messaging, student scheduling, calendar designs, UI components, full interface design mockups, etc. Created full designs for all pages and layout types including desktop and mobile versions. Also performed stock image selections for the website including image editing for varying aspect ratios, alternate layouts, and mobile scalability.
